Poked, Prodded & Pushed Around

Now, Jenna Glatzer is giving me a hard time.

Okay, so not really a hard time, but she prodded me to keep posting. I've been thinking that I should, but nothing's really going on.

I'm putting all the finances in order a laptop from the Dell outlet. Good prices, but I watched my picture perfect computer get snatched up this morning. So, it's in the works, but nothing yet. As I get time to fix the desktop, I will. It's a nice computer really.

Job interview first thing in the morning. Ugh. I have to get up & leave super early if I don't want to miss any time this week in my current job. They will be having kittens if I leave, I think. But this job I'm interviewing for will use both of my majors and they seem excited to have me come in.

I don't know if it is stress or what, but I've not been writing as usual. I'll snap out of it. It just seems like there are times when I have great plans and disaster strikes. It gets a bit depressing. But, life goes and I'll get over it.

Don't you just hate it when Real Life interferes with your writing? But then, as I heard at the writer's con I went to in March, 'nothing terrible ever happens to a writer, only wonderful anecdotes'. Everything is grist for the mill, raw meat to feed the Muse (mine likes raw meat, yours may be more genteel).

Yep. It never fails that when I feel like I am getting caught up and putting a nice plan in place, something screws it all up.

Good luck with the job interview! What were your majors?

I majored in Accounting and Computer Information Systems, which I regret doing since the graduation ceremony. It is the downfall of deciding so young what it is that you want to do with your life.

The interview went extremely well. The position keeps track of the accounting information systems, sort of a liason between the computer geeks and the number crunchers. The HR guy called Friday afternoon and said that so far all his feedback was positive and he hoped to have something more concrete for me this coming week.
